That is why Sailo created an easy to use online marketplace, where people can list, find and book privately owned boats from all over the world. Job Description

As a Sailo Marketing and Customer Relationship intern, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Work hand in hand with the cofounders on biz dev and customer relationship development
  • Research and learn how to make reports on specific national and/or international boating and tourism markets and make recommendations for growth
  • Be trained and hands-on experience with business development activities such as calling charter companies, marinas and boat owners to introduce Sailo
  • Support execution of biz dev campaigns in a particular market
  • Learn how to create analysis reports on biz dev growth and progress
  • Monitor website registrations
  • Develop your communication skills by following-up with boat owners and captains to provide great customer support and service
  • Provide feedback and make recommendations for improving customer satisfaction
  • Learn how to write relevant and useful meeting notes, briefs, drafts, reports and any other associated documentation for the activities you are involved in
  • Use the tools, processes and templates provided by Sailo

 

Skills

  • A go-getter, ready to get your hands dirty in a startup environment
  • Determined to be successful and don’t give up easily
  • Interested in online marketplaces and/or the sharing economy
  • A people person, great communicator, and team player
  • Interested in the boating industry and have at least a basic knowledge about boats
  • Experience (and a network) in the boating / sailing / yacht       world a big plus!
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA

 

Job Type: Full-time/Part-time Unpaid Internship
Hours: 20-40 hours

Responsibilities

Impress the Customer

  • Connect and be aware the Customer: Welcome and engage with genuine warmth
  • Put personality and unique characteristics into interactions with customers
  • Actively maintain the appearance of the selling floor.

Sell the Product

  • Understand the product you are selling and brand information.  Have a Fashion Voice
  • Discover the needs of the customer: Ask questions, listen learn and respond to determine their needs
  • Demonstrate knowledge of store products and services and use this knowledge to build sales

Sell the Bloomingdale’s Experience

  • Sell the Bloomingdale’s Loyallist Charge Card as the BEST way to shop at Bloomingdale’s
  • Know and understand the events throughout the store and communicate to the customer
  • Support the use of fulfillment tools and multiple channels to meet the customers need (Search and Send, bloomingdales.com, The Outlet,)
  • Utilize selling technology (Look books, MPOS, b-connected, mobile apps, etc.) to meet the needs of the customer

 

Skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to determine customers’ needs through friendly interactive dialogue
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple requests
  • A team player who possesses the ability to work in a learning environment
